The Royal Free Medical Simulation Centre is an extraordinary teaching tool. It allows clinicians and medical students to practice any number of operations and procedures, from the simple to the complex, using some incredibly lifelike computer simulations which even include pressure sensitive instruments and software which react the same way as a human body would.
The Centre makes a huge difference to the understanding and skill of students and surgeons, and of course has the important benefit of making surgery safer, as practice can indeed help make perfect!
