When you think about medical equipment in a hospital, it's easy to imagine the importance of the surgical instruments, monitoring machines and cutting edge technology such as medical simulation computers. But equally vital for patient care at the Royal Free Hospital are the dozens of smaller things that keep the system going: from toiletry kits, to a pair of slippers for an elderly patient, to a Wii game that a child can use to improve physical coordination.
We invest over £20,000 a week on new equipment, from the cutting edge to the day to day. Over the next few years, as NHS budgets tighten, we know the hospital will rely on us more and more to provide new equipment. If you would like to support the Charity in funding these items please make a donation and help us help others.
