Every patient is unique, with their own mix of concerns and considerations to take into account. But to us, in one regard, all patients are the same: everyone has the right to receive the same level of world-class care whilst in the hospital.
We invest over £2m a year, with a focus on continually improving access to the right services for each patient, and the friends and family who need to be close to them.

Complementary therapy
Being in hospital can be a painful and anxious experience, so we relieve the stress by providing massages, giving a break to the day after treatment and helping recovery. We currently fund over 20,000 massages annually.

To help patients we are planning to develop the UK’s first iApp for an NHS hospital, which allows them to download a map of hospital with all the key points on; wards, clinics, main corridors, toilets and catering outlets.

Simulation centre
The Royal Free Medical Simulation Centre is an extraordinary teaching tool, which allows clinicians and medical students to practice any number of operations and procedures, from the simple to the complex, using some incredibly lifelike computer simulations.

Equipment
We invest over £20,000 a week on new equipment, from the cutting edge to the day to day. Over the next few years, as NHS budgets tighten, we know the hospital will rely on us more and more to provide new equipment.
