Helping patients have the best experience possible while recieving their medical care is really important to us. While we are not directly involved with patient treatment, we support patients during their journey in various ways such as massage therapy for cancer patients and companions for dementia patients.
Sometimes this means providing clear and informative leaflets or providing information about waiting times. On other occasions this means improving the waiting areas or simply providing someone to talk to. Every patient has different needs and wishes and we endeavour to make each patient feel cared for as a friend or relative would do. We respect their private time and feelings and help them to cope with their condition.
By funding research we are helping to provide the treatments of the future. This ranges from finding early diagnostic tests which gives patients a better chance of survival to purchasing new equipment for advanced treatments which are less invasive and have better outcomes.
We also aim to help prevent illness through screening, advice and support and so prevent hospital re-admissions. A brighter and healthier outlook for all.
