What Chase Farm Charity does

We manage the hospital volunteers, provide massage therapy for patients receiving treatment in the chemo unit and support patient care by fundraising for additional equipment. In this new, all-digital hospital technology is key and the support of the charity is vital to help patients feel comfortable familiarizing themselves with the new environment and for staff to have the latest equipment to help with diagnosis and patient care.

Coming to urgent care, a clinic appointment or for planned surgery is a stressful event and we at Chase Farm Charity aim to make your visit as comfortable as possible. We provide assistance finding your way around the hospital, distraction toys and activities for our younger patients and those with dementia and learning difficulties and additional equipment to help staff provide the best treatment possible.

Chase Farm Hospital is a vital part of the community and we are keen to engage with local groups, schools and buisnesses to help support the hospital, its staff and patients. We would like to meet up with you to discuss how we can work together and make a difference.

Volunteers

We currently have a real need for more volunteers at Chase Farm. We need volunteers to meet and greet and help people find their way around the site. We also need volunteers that are happy to help with charity fundraising collections in local supermarkets, particularly in Sainsbury's Enfield and Asda Southgate. We have many different volunteering roles within the hospital outside of the hospital or office based.

Fundraising for specialist equipment & projects

We work closely with the hospital to identify needs and gaps where we can help make a difference.  We do not fund anything that the NHS should be providing, but we do provide the added extras to make life a little easier or more comfortable. For example, providing a grant for specialist chairs to aid stroke rehabilitation and fundraising appeals for additional equipment.

Massage therapy

Massage therapy is provided by the charity for patients receiving treatment for cancer at Chase Farm Hospital. This can be arranged through your clinical team by referal.
