Workshops and activities

We aim to provide workshops and activities which patients feel will help them cope with their long term condition. These are based on patient and carers suggestions. Please let the team know if you have any suggestions or are interested in taking part in any of the activities.

To get involved or make a suggestion please call 020 7794 0500 x 39963 or email.

Amputee support group

Please note this group is currently postponed until further notice.

This group usually happens on the last Friday of every month, at 11am – 12.30, in the Support hub on the lower ground floor of the hospital, just before the main canteen.  We will restart as soon as possible.

Massage therapy

Massage therapy for patients with LTC’s, to help reduce stress and anxiety.

This is currently on hold until further notice.

This is usually every Thursday from 12pm - 2pm.  We will restart as soon as possible.

The wellbeing programme

The Royal Free Charity with the Support hub and Recreation club offer a 12 week wellbeing programme for patients with long term health conditions.  The programme provides support, health and fitness advice to initiate positive lifestyle change, helping to set up a programme suitable for individual needs and circumstances.  The programme includes gym use with 1:1 support available, pool access and access to specialised weekly classes.  Patients can visit, call or email the Support hub to enquire about referral into this programme (details at the top of this page).

Please note the wellbeing programme is currently on hold, to current and new clients, until further notice.

Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney

Join us for one of our talks on the essentials of making Powers of Attorney, Wills and Trusts during your lifetime.

  • 21 April – Please note, this date has been cancelled.

Further dates will be scheduled later in the year.

Future Support hub activities

In 2018-19 we ran activities including: dance class, art, circuits, mindfulness; and we had talks on topics such as dementia and wills.

Please watch this space for more activities and events; if you are a patient with a long term condition or a carer; we would love to hear your feedback and thoughts.

Please email with your ideas and suggestions.
