Our fundraising pack is full of ideas and inspiration. There are top tips for fundraising as well as everything you might need to know to make your fundraising successful. If needed we can provide collection tins or buckets and branded charity items such as banners, t-shirts and running vests.
Take a look at some of the most popular fundraising ideas below and get your copy of our fundraising pack. We have other tools you can download too including sponsorship forms and branded poster templates to promote your fundraising event or activity.
Don't forget you can fundraise for one of our hospitals or for a specific ward or specilaism, and your donation will go to the cause or purpose you choose.
Why not get people to sponsor you? Could you go without your mobile phone or any social media for a day? Would you shave your head or shave off a much loved beard? Can you stay silent for a day?
You can be sponsored for any event that is a personal challenge including sports events or the larger challenge events listed below. The harder or funnier the challenge, the more people will donate!
Would people pay to see you make a fool out of yourself? You could spray your hair purple for a week or wear a mankini on the beach!

Minimum effort fundraising
If you would like to fundraise but don't have the time to put on an event here are some easy fundraising ideas. You can ask everyone to contribute a donation to participate.
- Wear your slippers to work, school or college for a day
- Have the boss make all the teas and cofffees for a day
- Have a swear box at work
- Or simply put collection boxes at your place of work.
Each year we have places available at organised events including the Virgin London Marathon, London to Brighton Cycle, London to Paris Cycle, and 5k or 10k runs including the hilarious Santa Run every December.
There are also opportunities to abseil or skydive. There may be restrictions or minimum fundraising targets for some events.
You can find out more or sign up to these on our Events page.
In case you hadn't noticed, we love the colour purple! Could you hold a 'Wear something purple day' at you school, college or workplace?
This is one of the simplest ways to raise awareness and have fun with your fundraising without it being all down to you.
Pick a day and ask everyone to contribute £1 or £2 to wear something purple for the day. As an incentive you can offer a small prize to the person that makes the most effort and embraces purpleism!
Why not hold a raffle on the same day to boost your fundraising success?
