Give to Big 7Tea
The NHS is turning 70 on 5 July 2018 and to celebrate this birthday, people are organising tea parties as part of the Big 7Tea. It also gives people an opportunity to say thank you by raising money for the NHS charities.
There are over 250 NHS charities across the UK and the Royal Free Charity, Barnet Hospital Charity and Chase farm Charity are part of this group.
As you know, we are focused on helping our hospitals to do more, from supporting research, to brightening up hospital environments, to donating state-of-the-art equipment, to providing services that make today feel better for our patients and staff. To underpin this activity we raise money from our supporters and rely on the time donated by our volunteers.
The Big 7Tea
The Big 7Tea is being organised specifically by NHS charities as their particular focus of activity is to support the NHS directly. This year, over 60 NHS charities have come together to be part of the Big 7Tea and that number is increasing daily.
Raise money or make a donation?
Some of our supporters are planning to ask their friends and guests for contributions when they attend the parties they are organising, whilst others have decided to thank the NHS by making a donation to one of our charities – Barnet Hospital Charity, Chase Farm Charity or the Royal Free Charity. It is up to you how you decide to support the 70th anniversary of the NHS.
If you are raising money from your friends, the easiest thing is just to ask them for a donation. You could also hold a raffle, a competition or something else – it's entirely up to you but the more fun the better. You can download a pack of materials to help you with your event on the Big 7Tea event page.
Paying in Money or Making a Donation
It is very simple to pay the money you have kindly collected. You can pay in using a debit card or a credit card.
If you just wish to make a donation, you can donate using a debit or credit card.
You can also send cheques made payable to Royal Free Charity, Big 7Tea, Pond Street, London NW3 2QG.
