Barnet Hospital Charity launches massage therapy service

The massage therapy service was officially launched on 15 April 2015 with Keith Hunt MBE, complementary therapies co-ordinator and Debbie Sanders, director of nursing showing their support.

The service has started with oncology and haematology patients on the Mulberry ward and the chemo suite and will be expanding in the future to be more widely available to other patients. One of the first patients to receive the service said "After my second chemo I really suffered and felt so tired, but coming here today has definitely helped and I’ve booked again for next week. It felt like the nicest, silkiest, cotton touch and made me feel so relaxed. It’s been really beneficial.”
